Like any other hit release, a day does not go by without hearing “Thinking Out Loud” playing on your favourite radio station. To some of us who move with the times (Born-After-Technology), we have this hit playing repeatedly on our music playlists, iTunes, etc. I am one of those people who thought that the emergence of “Bootylicious” and “Umbrella…ella” hit makers was going to kill the good old romantic ballads.

One morning at work I was silently singing along to Beyoncé’s “Flawless” (just imagine me shouting “I woke up like this! Flawless!” not a good picture at all!), I heard my colleague’s ring tone which had a mellow acoustic sound… as a serial lover of music I couldn’t wait for her to finish with her phone call… (which took a bit longer though, considering that I struggle with patience). Eventually her 35 free minutes call ended…
